Sabbatical in an electric campervan - three months of freedom on wheels

🚐 A sabbatical full of new energy

After years of hard work, Marco, Nancy and their son Brenn from Son en Breugel decided it was time for something bigger than the usual vacation. They really wanted to break away from the daily routine - a sabbatical. Their dream: a few months of traveling, exploring, slowing down. And preferably in a way that matched their values: sustainable, conscious and comfortable. So they ended up at EV Camper.

With an all-electric Outbase ID. Buzz Camper they began their adventure. No exhaust fumes, no noise - just silence, nature and the gentle hum of an electric motor. "It felt right away," Chantal says. "As if with every kilometer we not only went further from home, but also got closer to ourselves."

🔋 Traveling without haste

Their route did not follow a rigid plan. Sometimes they stayed longer in a place that touched them, sometimes they moved on spontaneously. "Just the lack of a fixed schedule gave us the freedom we were looking for," says Marco.

The electric campervan proved ideal for this pace. During charging moments, they drank coffee in small villages, hiked through nature or discovered unexpected places. "You automatically start traveling slower," Nancy adds. "And therefore you experience more."

Loading became not a limitation, but a rhythm - a way to really be in the moment.

🌞 Comfortably durable

Many travelers wonder if electric camping is practical. For Marco and Nancy, the answer was clear: absolutely. The Outbase ID. Buzz offered everything they needed for long trips - from a comfortable bed to a fully equipped kitchen. And with solar panels on the roof, they could often be off-grid.

"You live simpler, but not with less comfort," Marco says. "We had everything with us - and knew we were doing it without putting an extra burden on the earth."

💚 Returning with more than memories

After three months on the road, they returned with more than just photos. They had developed new routines, found new energy and gained a new perspective on travel.

"The idea that adventure and sustainability can go so well together still inspires us every day," Nancy says. "We now look differently at mobility, at time, at rest."

Their sabbatical became not just a break, but a life lesson - one they would gladly grant others.
