About us
EV Camper is a true family business that has been making vacations more sustainable with electric campervans since 2021. What started with two converted e-Fixxters has grown in five seasons to a modern fleet of 16 campervans, with both Fixxter and Outbase ID. Buzz models. Since then, hundreds of travelers have booked their vacations with us and experienced how relaxing and comfortable electric camping can be.
How we got started
For years, Rutger & Audrey dreamed of exploring Europe in a campervan . When they discovered that this can be done electrically these days, all the puzzle pieces fell into place. In 2021, they bought their first two Peugeot e-Experts, which were converted by Fixxter into the first e-Fixxter XXL electric campervans.
That turned out to be a hit. We are now five seasons down the road, we have multiple locations with 16 campervans in our fleet - including the popular Outbase ID. Buzz campervans - and many travelers have spent their vacations with a smile and a full battery.
Edwin & Elise have owned an alcove campervan themselves for many years, and are now totally excited about the possibilities of the electric campervan.
Introducing
EV Camper was started in 2021 by Audrey and Rutger. They live together with their son Dexter and dog Balou in Amersfoort, love an active and 'outdoorsy' life, do a lot of sports and love to go out. Their passion for travel as well as sustainability led them to start EV Camper in 2021. Since then they have completely fallen in love with traveling with an electric campervan.
As of 2025, Edwin is also a co-owner of EV Camper. Edwin is a college friend of Rutger's, an avid camper, and in recent years has often taken the electric campervan on the road with his wife Elise and their children Stan and Maes. His enthusiasm for camping and his background in organizational consulting make him a valuable addition to our team.
With his arrival, we are establishing EV Camper even more strongly as a family business, where personal attention, fun and sustainability are key.
